My Perfect Week: Conclusion

So, I kinda fell off the wagon this weekend. Not TOO badly, but my percentage of fat intake went up to 25-30%. I still consider it a small victory, though. I consider Friday a victory just because I didn't get french fries, and donuts, and cookies, and about a million pounds of comfort food. It was the day from HELL! And I burned a lot more than I ate, which I had just been told is a no-no, but by the time I got home I really didn't care and I just wanted to go to bed.

Saturday was better, but what with it being Christmas and all, there was food EVERYWHERE! Gum will probably become my new best friend on this journey. It's too easy to pass a bowl of M&M's and just take a few.... and a few more.... and a few more... unless you have gum in your mouth. Then it's much easier to resist things like that when you're not really hungry, but tempted to take food just because it's there. We also had a free meal in the cafeteria, which I seriously considered resisting, but ended up getting anyway. It was free!!! I did manage to only eat half the chocolate pie thingy, which I consider a huge accomplishment.

Sunday was supposed to be great, but I didn't realize until AFTER dinner that our favorite chicken teriyaki meatballs (chicken! really! who would have thought??) are about 40% fat. I guess, now that I think about it, it makes sense... they are just too damn delicious to be any healthier. And then the leftovers (about 4 meatballs) were left out on the counter, and it was a deficit in willpower that made me just grab one as I passed... and one more while I was making Corbin's bottle... and one more after I put him to bed.... Seriously, you'd think Brit would be more considerate and eat the rest before I could.

Today I got measured and judged again. I lost a little bit of weight (I think... less than a pound, if anything) and about one more % of body fat. And now, we start My Perfect Week: Take 2. I can do better this time!!!
